Our fully guided tours with give your child the best opportunity to experience the real NZ under the care of our experienced tour team. While on tour, we adhere to the Code of Practice for international students. This means we offer not only an exciting and educational tours but a safe environment that allows you and your child to travel with the comfort of knowing they will be looked after to the highest degree.

Safety is paramount which is why we are Qualmark accredited (https://www.qualmark.co.nz/) and COVID clean accredited, New Zealand Tourism’s official quality assurance programme; so, you can have confidence in our safety practices as well as the quality of the service.

We travel in luxury air conditioned 5-star touring coach with all the modern safety features. While on this adventure making lifelong memories they will enjoy it in comfort with spacious leather seats with seatbelts, USB charging pods and free onboard WIFI!

The tour will consist of students from all over the world that are of similar age and are in New Zealand for the same reason. It is a great opportunity to make the most of their time in our beautiful country.

As parents also we know and understand how important your child’s safety is!  While your child is on tour, we continually consider the risks so you can rest assured they are in the best possible care. As a respected tour operator, we are continually reviewing and proactively managing any risks associated with tours. Most activities are covered in the tour cost along with delicious healthy breakfast and dinners each day were we can also cater for special diets such as gluten intolerant, halal, lactose intolerant. We also offer optional activities to allow the students to partake in extras activities that they want to experience, however we require your permission for them to do so.

When your child books on one of our tours we require your permission for your them to join.  You will receive an email with all details and asking you to click on a link to confirm you give your permission.

All staff members who operate these tours are police vetted and have up to date comprehensive First Aid certificates and are hand selected to ensure the students get the most out of every tour. There will be at least one male and one female staff member on tour and the students will be sleeping in same sex rooms only. All accommodation is carefully selected for their age group suitability, safety, and cleanliness.

We will collect your child either by coach at a tour departure point or they will be met at the airport and accompanied throughout their tour by an Weir Tours NZ staff member who is professionally trained in tour management and best practice operating procedures.

Traveling throughout our beautiful country is a must for most but especially visitors to our shores and exchange students are no different. Our tours offer a safe, fun, educational way to do so!

Our Health and Safety plan deals with all aspects of our operation, and not only are we Qualmark and COVID clean accredited but also Department of Conservation approved. Therefore, you can have great confidence in our ability to provide the students with a safe and outstanding experience. Most of the activities are included in the tour cost but there are some activities which will be optional extras therefore each student will need permission from their parents to do so.

We operate our student tours during school holidays to enable most international students to join in and minimise time away from school.

Although fun and excitement is a big focus with these tours, we also focus on educating the students about the real NZ. They will witness our beautiful nature and landscapes while discovering our unique forest and fauna. While on tour the student will be in cell phone range for most of it and there will be WIFI on board so they can keep in touch with the school and their parents. However, there will be some locations when we will be out of service but there will always be a way to contact our staff.

• The natural parents will also receive an email confirming the student has booked the tour and asking for them to give their permission. They will also receive an Optional Activity permission form which allows them to approve the activities their child may participate in.
• The host family are sent an email confirming their student has booked on a tour.
